Breadsticks

This is a great breadstick recipe that doesn't take a lot of prep time. It only needs to rise once for 15-20 min. Perfect for last minute supper plans.

Breadsticks

1 pkg yeast
1 1/2 c warm water
1 T honey
3-4 c flour
1 t salt

Dissolve yeast into warm water in mixer bowl.
On medium speed, beat in honey, 3 c of flour, and salt.
Add as much of the rest of the flour as needed to form a soft dough that is slightly sticky.
Knead until smooth. At least 5 min.
Turn out onto a floured surface and divide into 16 sections for large breadsticks.
Roll each piece into a rope and arrange on parchment-lined baking sheet 1 " apart.
Let rise in a warm place for 15-20 min.
Brush each breadstick with melted butter and sprinkle with sea salt and garlic powder.
Bake at 400 for 15 min or until golden.
