Another holiday classic. We call these chocolate snowballs.
Chocolate Crinkles
1 c chocolate chips
1 1/4 c flour
1/2 c cocoa
2 t baking powder
1/4 t salt
1 stick butter
1 c brown sugar
2 eggs
1 t vanilla
1/3 c milk
1 c sugar
1 c powdered sugar
Mix butter and brown sugar until pale and fluffy.
Add eggs and vanilla.
Melt chocolate chips in microwave. Add to butter and sugar mixture.
Sift flour, cocoa, baking powder, and salt.
Add alternately with milk to butter mixture.
Chill until firm (about 2 hours).
Roll into 1 inch balls.
Cover in sugar and then in powdered sugar.
Bake at 350 degrees for about 10 minutes.
